How We're Helping
We are a nonprofit organization focused on giving less privileged young people new choices, goals and options in life through free programs that promote creativity, academic progress, and physical activity. We do this through free sports camps and monthly youth enrichment kits that kids can use in their homes. All of our activities are open and free to kids of all ages. Ultimately, we strive to develop proficiency and subsequent confidence in the youth we serve. We want as many kids as possible to have access to our services regardless of gender identity, race, religion or sexual orientation.
One of the key components of the mission of Giving Adolescents New Goals is that we seek to meet kids and families where they are with our programs and provide them access to experiences that can show a young person a glimpse into a potential future. It may be an artistic talent, an academic ability or a love for a sport they did not know they had. Sometimes it takes just a taste to find out you have a love for something and Giving Adolescents New Goals strives to give kids that. Kids are being creative and having fun with clay, mosaics, hacky sacs, jump ropes, math games, word games, and puzzles through our enrichment kits. Kids are learning to dribble a basketball, hit a baseball or softball, and kick a soccer ball, some for the very first time, through our sports camps. We are hearing wonderful things from kids, parents, school counselors, teachers, and the family homeless housing staff about our enrichment kits.
Our hope now is to reach out to kids all over this community and beyond who can benefit from encouragement and enrichment.
Get Involved
From volunteering with our sports camps to supporting our enrichement kits, now is a great time to get involved with Giving Adolescents New Goals. You don't have to be an expert at a sport to join us for a sports camp, just join us for a fun time of learning and playing with the kids. But if you have an expertise, we'd love to have you become one of our coaches for a day. You can also help us with our enrichment kit program through stuffing kits to delivery of kits. Let us know if you'd like to help with this program.
Enrichment Kit Sponsorship
With the expansion of our youth Enrichment Kit program, one way you or your business can become a supporter, is by becoming a monthly sponsor of this program. For every $100 donation given to support the kits, we would love to put your logo or name on our enrichment kit bags like the ones seen above that we use to hold the supplies for the kids. You can also donate company swag with your business logo on it to go in our kits, things like water bottles, chapstick, etc. (50+ would be needed for this.)
